For conventional IVF, oocytes are maintained in Fertilization media with Hypure® Oil overlay and a small sperm aliquote is added in the same dish to bring the gametes closer and improve the chances of a successful fertilization.

Once in the ICSI a dish is prepared with Gamete Buffer and Hypure® Oil, spermatozoa are handled and slowed with PVP, which ease loading of the selected spermatozoon into the ICSI Pipette. The oocyte will be stabilized with the Holding Pipette, the ICSI Pipette introduced through the zona pellucida and oolemma and finally the spermatozoon left safely inside the ooplasm.
